GOLDEN FILM IDEA COMPETITION DURING FILM FESTIVAL

A Golden Film Idea competition will be held during the Film Festival. Anyone can submit their film idea in a maximum of 3 sentences until September 15 to [email protected]. The best 20 entrants will be invited to pitch their idea live to a jury on September 26. The grand prize is a basic screenwriting course at the script school. Additionally, there are 5 Film1 subscriptions to be won.

Afterwards, Paul Ruven and Marian Batavier will present the first copy of their new book RIJK DOOR 1 ZIN: DE GOUDEN FILM-FORMULE to Ate de Jong, who worked as a director in Hollywood and is currently Commercial Intendant of the Netherlands Film Fund.

The jury of the Golden Film Idea competition is chaired by filmmaker Paul Ruven and further consists of Ate de Jong (Commercial Intendant Filmfonds), Paul Bertram (Head of Studies Scriptschool), and Taco Stomps (Head of Internet Film1 and founder Filmfocus.nl).

HOW DOES IT WORK EXACTLY?

Participants should send an email with their film idea by September 15, consisting of a maximum of three sentences, including their name and address, to [email protected]. The idea remains the property of the submitter, and only the film ideas of the 20 finalists will be revealed by them to the jury and the public. You may submit as many film ideas as you wish.
