The Future Shorts screenings were initiated in 2007 as a MeccaPANZA project, to continue a year later as an independent project under the banner of the (remaining) team.
MeccaPANZA therefore no longer had any influence on the course of events within the project and the team last year.
News has reached us that the Future Shorts network in London has decided that the Amsterdam branch will not continue. This is part of a further professionalization process, within the framework of which the current team does not meet the new standards. This is very regrettable to hear!
I would like to thank everyone who helped set up the screening in 2007 and wish the members of the current team strength with the news.
MeccaPANZA will eventually come with a new series of screenings, I am convinced of that.
