As of this week, it is possible for users of all Filmpeople websites to sign up as a guest user. This makes it easier for film professionals to try out the services for a few days.

The goal of the guest account is to keep access low and strengthen ties with the platform users. As a guest, film professionals can respond to bulletin board posts, such as job vacancies, without restriction for a full week. You can also post messages yourself for free.

Sander Jansen, co-founder of Filmpeople: “We are primarily there for the makers, so the creative side of the film industry, but also for everything and everyone that supports it. With the guest account, we want to show people what Filmpeople offers to all those film professionals. We hope that this will eventually encourage them to join the network permanently—a kind of trial membership, so to speak.”

The organization has been maintaining various sites for years, including Filmindustry.nl, Filmstart.nl, and Filmvacatures.nl. "Currently, there are approximately 8,000 regular visitors to the platforms per day. This makes Filmpeople by far the largest platform for filmmakers in the Netherlands. But thanks in part to the memberships, we can continue to build and mean even more to the film world," says Jansen.
