Following The Magical World of Czech Animation, the successful animation festival that took place at Melkweg Cinema in 2006, it is now time for the second edition. While the focus of the first edition was primarily on the grandmasters who were at the cradle of the Czech animation genre (such as Karel Zeman, Jiő Trnka, and Jan vankmajer), the new generation of Czech animation is now being put in the spotlight.
With FIMFRUM 1 & 2, a collection of short films divided into two programs provides an overview of beautiful recent Czech (puppet) animation work. Additionally, the atmospheric, Tim Burton-esque horror animation ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY and the adventurous fairy tale IN THE ATTIC are screened.
