From January 25 to February 7, 2010, the city center of Rotterdam will be flooded with everything related to film: it is time for the 39th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). Short and feature films will be screened, and there will be live events, exhibitions, and talk shows. You simply have to experience the IFFR at least once!

Students can get a taste of the IFFR atmosphere during a Digital Playground workshop! The workshop is a complete film experience with the theme: love, secret, or future. The workshops are introduced by a young Dutch filmmaker who screens their own work. Afterwards, the students shoot their own footage on and around the festival grounds under the guidance of experienced workshop leaders. The students then independently edit their one-minute film.

Battle for the Junior Tiger Award
The best filmmaker in the class is nominated for the Junior Tiger Award! All participating classes are invited to the festive awards ceremony on Thursday, February 4, from 17:00 to 19:00. It promises to be a festive event featuring a film screening, a screening of all nominated films, and a film quiz where all students stand a chance to win a great prize. The best films will be judged by a professional jury. At the end of the afternoon, the Junior Tiger Award will be personally presented by the Director of the IFFR.
