Over two weekends, Victor Löw works with a select group of a maximum of 6(!) participants on the acting discipline of comedy, using the play ART as a basis. A highly intensive masterclass exclusively for those with completed acting training or comparable acting experience.

Unfortunately, acting comedy is still underestimated. Comedy is, in fact, pure control, because perfect timing should not depend on your feelings at that moment, even though you actually need to listen to your feelings to time things correctly; the paradox of acting comedy.
To handle this paradox, participants will be expected to be well prepared. The ART script (provided by Kemna Training) will not be read in its entirety; instead, a number of scenes will need to be learned. These will then be acted out until complete mastery is achieved. Only then can the situation be dissected and the rhythm and tone understood. The miracle of timing (a joke either works or it doesn't), and the application of this knowledge to all things classical.
In short, if you understand comedy, you understand acting; if you understand acting, you understand acting, and are therefore employable across all media and genres.
Lecturer
Victor Löw graduated from the Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp and began his career on stage. To date, he has performed in nearly thirty stage productions, collaborating intensively with the famous American playwright Edward Albee during *The Zoo Story*. He also won a Louis d'Or for his contribution to *Sukarno* by the National Theatre. Additionally, Victor can be seen in a large number of very diverse television and film productions. After several Golden Calf nominations in the Best Actor category, he was able to take the award home for his role in the film *Lek*.
