The 48 Hour Film Project is coming to Breda for the second time in March 2010 during the International Film Festival Breda. During the 48 Hour Film Project, participating teams are given 48 hours to make their own film with a mandatory prop, character, and genre. It is the perfect opportunity to find a platform for your own vision of film, despite limited resources and possibilities.

The films are judged by a professional jury including actress Monic Hendrickx and filmmaker Mark de Cloe. There are many prizes to be awarded, but only the best film goes to the USA! The one and only official awards ceremony is on Sunday, March 28.

TO ENROL
You can register now! Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Aanmelding: ". Include your name, address, city, (mobile) phone number, and your team name in the email.
After receiving the email, you will receive additional information from us within a few days, including details on how to transfer your registration fee. If you register more than a month in advance, the registration fee is 125 euros; after that, it is 148 euros. Be quick, as spaces are limited (due to limited venue capacity).

KICK off & DROP off
All teams (camera, lighting, sound, direction, actors, etc.) report to Gebouw C, Centre for Visual Culture at Reigerstraat 16 in Breda on Friday, March 19, at 6:00 PM (registration and payment of the registration fee of €125.00 must take place in advance). Equipment and the like must be brought by the teams themselves. Before 7:00 PM, draw a random genre (romance, western, etc.) from the hat. At 7:00 PM, we will open the envelope containing a character, a line of dialogue, and an object that must appear in all films to stand a chance of winning one of the prizes. Once all elements are known, the program will start. Entries can be submitted up to and including Sunday evening at 7:30 PM.

JURY
The films are judged by a professional jury consisting of, among others, actress Monic Hendrickx and filmmaker Mark de Cloe. The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, March 28, 2010, in the official film festival pavilion.
