During the project week from October 26 to 30, the World Music department of Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam will have students compose film music under the guidance of multi-award-winning film composer and clarinetist Alex Simu.

Film directors, editors, and creators are invited to submit one to a maximum of three original film clips, with a length of 3 to 5 minutes. The selected submissions will be assigned to nearly 100 amazing music students, organized into 14 ensembles, who will compose and record original music.

Applicants are given the opportunity to provide feedback, discuss the results with the students, evaluate the created music in accordance with the artistic vision, or indicate elements that need to be developed.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:

The film clips can be at any stage of production.

Documents accompanying the film clip:

_ Specifications or requests regarding the music. Max. 200 words.

_ Description of the excerpt, relationship to the entire film. Max. 400 words.

The results will be reviewed together with all participants in a private webinar on Thursday, October 29.
