Merel Hamers

Merel Hamers is a Visual Storyteller who makes Animations, Illustrations, Storyboards and Comics, focused on a strong narrative and presented with charm and humor. Always thinking up stories and drawing on every piece of paper she could find, she decided to follow her passion.
Graduated in Animation in 2014 at the Willem the Kooning Academy, she has worked at a famous Dutch televisionshow and film called 'Woezel en Pip', Filmproduction company 'Submarine' and the succesfull animated Youtube serie 'My magic pet Morphle'.
Next to working on commercial and personal projects, she also gives workshops and lectures and is part of a self publishing comic circle CrackBrained Comics who work with themes around psychiatry.
