🎙️ Who am I looking for? I am looking for someone who works with technical precision, but also understands what a scene requires auditorily. Not only someone who ensures the dialogue is recorded well, but also someone who thinks creatively about how sound can enhance the story. I would like to be able to brainstorm about: - Clear and natural dialogue shooting on location. - Dealing with wind, leaves, and ambient noise. - Microphone placement and monitoring sound quality. - Recording atmosphere, room tone, and additional sounds. Which sounds we need to record on set and what can be improved in post-production. - Silence, breathing, and auditory tension as dramatic devices. - Practical and creative solutions when something proves unfeasible. Your own ideas and creative input are absolutely welcome! 🎧 I think it is important that we can communicate honestly with each other. If a recording doesn't sound right or a particular approach doesn't work technically, I would rather hear about it immediately.

Small team. Big productions. Media for everyone. How do you ensure that a film, series, or theatrical performance is truly accessible to everyone? That is what Soundfocus focuses on every day. From audio description and subtitles to dubbing, sign language, and hearing-impaired audio — we make content accessible to the widest possible audience. And we could really use your help with that. This is what you are going to do As a Sound Engineer, you work on a variety of productions for film, television, streaming, and theater. An important part of the work consists of producing audio description; visual description for people who are visually impaired or blind. In concrete terms, this means: Working in our sound studios. Recording and directing (voice) actors. Sound editing and audio restoration. Mixing for cinema, streaming, and broadcast. Checking the final mix and performing technical QCs. Exporting and delivering files in the correct formats and according to the specifications of, for example, Earcatch, Netflix, and Amazon. Contributing ideas regarding more efficient workflows, technical standards, and the further development of our audio production.
