Beatblue Monday. Send your comedy film/video

Golden Smile International Film Festival Yes, you read that right, another festival. But we are setting the bar high; we are looking for the best comedic (intended or unintended) films and videos. All genres and forms are welcome. There is only one condition: make the audience laugh. The Golden Smile International Film Festival kicks off on Blue Monday, January 18, 2021, in Bergen (NH). On this day in the midst of a pandemic, the festival brings light and cheerfulness into the darkness. Organizer Peter Bosman chose this date deliberately. "We could certainly use a bit of cheerfulness. You win everything with humor. We chose January 18, 2021, as the start of the first edition of the festival." Since registration opened, submissions have been pouring in. Filmmakers from all over the world have submitted their work, from Iran to Brazil; the United States, Spain, South Korea, and Tunisia have all sent in their work. Humor is universal. Humor makes people attractive and combats prejudice. From slapstick to feature films, silent films, sketches, short films, comedic documentaries—in short, all film forms that make us laugh. Humor unites; whoever can laugh enriches themselves and others in the world. Whoever makes others laugh makes the world more beautiful and safer. Difficult genre Humor is a difficult genre for filmmakers and actors. A professional jury and the audience determine the winners. It is exciting: will it remain silent in the room, will there be a chuckle, polite laughter, or roaring laughter? The film with the most laughs wins. It is that simple. Best comedy feature comedy film • Best short comedy • Best long Documentary with a smile • Best short Documentary with a smile • Best ultra-short Documentary with a smile • Best Slapstick • Best Silent Comical Film • Best comical sketches • Best comical hidden camera • Best comical ultra short clips • Best comical instruction films • Best romantic comedy • Best Tragic Comedy • Best cartoon • Best comic music film • Best comic SF • All the rest, all other moving pictures that make us laugh • Are you serious?
