New partnership between EY and NFF

Accounting and consultancy firm EY and the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) have signed a three-year partnership agreement. The international service provider becomes a premium partner of the NFF and makes its knowledge and network available in addition to a financial contribution. EY believes that art and culture make an essential contribution to understanding what is happening in society. Filmmakers broaden your window on the world and connect people with the stories they tell. EY invests in the platform that the NFF offers to Dutch filmmakers, and supports emerging film talent in the form of the 'EY Talent Award' — part of the NFF Student Competition. On September 26, the winner of the talent award will receive a cash prize for their next film production and a tailor-made coaching program. “Filmmakers hold up a mirror to us and teach us to look at the world with different eyes. We are aiming for a partnership in which we invest in each other and learn from each other,” says Jeroen Davidson, Chairman of the Board of EY in the Netherlands. Silvia van der Heiden, General Director of the Netherlands Film Festival, is pleased with the new collaboration. “Talent is essential for new insights, both in the film sector and in the world of financial advisory. It is wonderful that EY is broadening support to encourage film talent with the EY Talent Award.” About EY EY is a global leader in providing financial insights and services to clients and society. EY contributes to creating long-term value and to confidence in the capital markets. At EY in the Netherlands, approximately 5,000 professionals work from 14 offices. About NFF From Wednesday, September 21 to Friday, September 30, the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) can be experienced everywhere: in film theaters throughout the country and in cinemas and other locations in Utrecht. The NFF presents new talent, offers a taste of Digital Culture, provides masterclasses by filmmakers, and screens the latest and best documentaries, short films, drama series, feature films, and animation. During the festival, there is also the Professionals Program, attended by audiovisual professionals in the Netherlands, featuring various talks and opportunities for talent and project development. On Friday, September 30, the Golden Calf Gala takes place, where the annual prestigious film awards are presented.

Are you working on a project for which you are looking for an experienced cameraman with good equipment, but do you want things to remain affordable? Then consider working with me! I am an experienced cameraman who has been active since 2009 and mainly shoots corporate work and fiction. For this I have a nice equipment package consisting of a Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K, a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, a DJI Mavic Air 2 and many peripherals such as cinema lenses, a tripod, slider, 4 LED panels, Sennheiser EW112P G3 tie clip with transmitter and Rode NTG2 boom microphone. As a corporate filmmaker I have shot hundreds of corporate films, promotional films and commercials. In addition to many smaller companies, I also regularly work for large companies and government institutions. I do fiction work both in-house and as a freelancer. I'm mainly in the indie corner here and my work (both feature and short) can be seen on streaming channels such as Amazon Prime Video and Tubi but also sold to channels such as ShortsTV and foreign television and streaming channels. For examples of my corporate work you can take a look at www.vandoornav.nl and the fiction work that I have made in-house can be seen at www.doorneden.com. My daily rate, including equipment, is €750 excluding VAT and a travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometre. I am of course willing to give a discount on my rate for multiple shooting days. In addition, I also have a pool of good sound people with whom I regularly work, if you are also looking for this for your project, I can also help you here. I also regularly work on low budget passion projects such as (short) films and competitions. For this I charge an equipment fee (approximately equal to the rental price at Budgetcam) in consultation, but I drop my daily price. Do you already have a good cameraman for your project, but do you still need equipment?
