Ron Smoorenburg in 100 million film Asura

Ron Smoorenburg, known from Jackie Chan's 'Who Am I?' with the fight on the roof of the Nedloyd building in 1997, has not been idle. Over the past 20 years, Ron has starred in more than 80 international films and worked with a host of famous actors, particularly from the action world. Two years ago, Ron spent six months in China for his role as a general in Asura, which he calls a Lord of the Rings on steroids. This is the largest production ever made in China. This film is about a materialistic dimension entering the world we live in. It is a film with a lot of drama and action, featuring fight scenes that were very difficult to film and required two months of training. This film is released in China on July 13th. A year prior, Ron had already had a leading role as Black Knight in Luc Besson's 'Warriors' Gate'. Furthermore, Triple Threat is coming out, a sort of Asian Expendables... In which Ron fights Tony Jaa. Ron is currently working on his own martial arts film in Thailand.

Filmmaking Duo from Australia!

Hello, my partner Petra and I are a filmmaking duo from Melbourne, Australia, looking for content and documentary style work in Amsterdam. We come from creative and editorial backgrounds and have been making films together since 2015, after a web series we made was featured on Huffington Post. Since then we have directed over 50 pieces of brand-funded video content, working with and guiding various writers, creatives, production crew, actors, editors and animators. In 2017 we wrote and directed a narrative short film called Sleeping is Difficult, which is currently being screened at festivals. In the latter half of 2017 we started a small production company. Through this we've been lucky to work with clients like VICE, Dazed, Carlsberg, Australia Post, Coles, Monash University and Carlsberg. We have a small ENG style setup suitable for run-and-gun shoots, online content and documentary work. We are only in the Netherlands temporarily and are open to all and any possibilities while here. Actor TOM DE JONG in 8 part HBO Series GRISSE

Actor TOM DE JONG, who has appeared in many short and 48-hour films and previously in various Dutch TV series, was cast via Int. Native Casting from Amsterdam and played a major role in the international 8-part English-language series GRISSE. The series was filmed from March to June 2018 in Indonesia on the island of Batam. INFINITE Studios, owned by Mike Wiluan, producer and one of the three directors, has since sold this major TV production to HBO Networks. HBO Los Angeles is extremely enthusiastic after seeing the trailer and will broadcast GRISSE worldwide starting in late October 2018. Actor RICK PAUL VAN MULLIGEN and the Jakarta-based Dutch actor HANS DE KRAKER also play roles in GRISSE.

Hello! Next year I really want to go to the Film Academy, majoring in Directing Fiction. Film is and remains my passion and I would like to make it my job later! But I thought it would be fun to share my hobby with others, for example to put on a film with some other people! So far I've only done some projects with friends and made some films, but not really with people who really experience the same love for film as I do. I would also really like to participate in the 48h film project! And that seems like a lot of fun to do with people who share the same passion as me: film!! Former producer Corrino Drama Germen Boelens joins Revolver Amsterdam. Film producer Germen Boelens joins Revolver Amsterdam, the production house of Raymond van der Kaaij. In recent years, both producers have produced award-winning feature films and documentaries both at home and abroad. Based on a shared ambition to produce high-quality drama that competes internationally, it was decided to join forces. The focus will be on Dutch and English-language films and series from Dutch soil, and on international productions and co-productions. Ongoing film projects are transferred to Revolver Amsterdam, which substantially increases production capacity and volume. The connection between the producers is obvious. Both producers emphasize: “The Netherlands has a rich culture of telling socially inspired, layered stories; in literature and in film. To put Dutch film even more firmly on the map, talented and experienced writers and directors must be properly facilitated to develop their stories. We have a strong ambition to support this, both from the Netherlands and through international cooperation. With all the new players in the market, there are now more opportunities than ever to realize distinctive films and series. By working together, we combine knowledge and experience in the Netherlands and abroad and we want to establish an even stronger and, above all, idiosyncratic production house with Revolver Amsterdam in the coming years.” Boelens is producer of, among others, the films 'Broeders' (NFF 2017) and 'Gelukzoekers' (telefilm 2018) by Hanro Smitsman, and the children's films 'Dede: Mehmet with the yellow boots' by Tamara Miranda (Emmy nomination 2017) and ' Vrije Vogel' by Joyce van Diepen (Emmy entry NPO 2018). Boelens previously led Corrino Drama. Van der Kaaij has produced feature films in the Netherlands such as 'Supernova' by Tamar van den Dop (Berlinale) and 'Bodkin Ras' (SXSW, IFFR), and has shown that he can achieve international connections with films such as 'I Dream in another language' (Sundance Audience Award 2017) and 'Love & Friendship' (Sundance 2016).

Summer internship Filmmaker all around

Hi! At this moment I have almost completed the second year of the Creative College in Utrecht. The second year did not go as I had hoped. The internship was personally not nice and we didn't really learn much at school either. I would like to help someone at the company with productions this summer so that I can still improve my knowledge and prepare myself for the exam year next school year! And also because I love to create. I am very ambitious, creative and curious person. I love everything; inventing, writing, filming, editing and to learn from things. I have my own camera (Canon 750D) that I like to film with, including a microphone, a tripod and a shoulder tripod. I also have my own laptop (Asus) on which the adobe package is installed. (I'm still looking for a better laptop haha.) I live in Zoetermeer so environment is very desirable! Furthermore is always an option, but because I do not travel for free myself, I would like to discuss possible travel costs. I also kindly ask you if I might be allowed to earn a small allowance because I have not (yet) been able to find a job.
