Chakib is your Voice over!

Chakib Belhaj (September 30, 1985) is a Dutch Moroccan actor, artist and presenter. Belhaj was born in Morocco but moved to the Netherlands with his mother at a young age, where he attended the Catholic school De Beekhof in Sint-Michielsgestel and then secondary school (koning willem1college). In 2009 he signed a record deal with the popular music company Berk Music, which led to success in 42 countries with his hit single the beat dont stop. At the acting level, Chakib is currently still trying to orient himself, his strengths are that he masters the entire Dutch language including the Brabant dialect. He also masters the Arabic/Moroccan language perfectly. And he can also quickly switch to an Arabic accent. NBF Evening with Dutch film talents Monday 5 Sept.

Foreign success of Dutch film talents – with 'Lazarus', 'My Silicone Love' and 'Unforgettable' at NBF evening on Monday 5 September Dutch film talents abroad are doing well. For example, the two Dutch graduation films, 'Lazarus' by director Gonzalo Fernandez & 'My Silicone Love' by Sophie Dros, were recently nominated for the Student Academy Awards 2016. The Dutch entries also do well in the 48 Hour Film Projects. This year, Marco Grandia's film 'Unforgettable' was the winner of the Amsterdam and worldwide competition. This was the third year in a row that an entry from the Netherlands won. What impact does this have on the makers? That is the central question during the NBF evening on 5 September. During this evening, the NBF invites the makers of the three films to watch their films with them. Afterwards there will be a short Q&A about the making process of the films, but especially about what the awards and nominations mean for the careers of the makers. Are you curious about the films and the makers? Then come to the NBF evening on Monday 5 September in De Kring!
