Bromet Film School

Summer Course Report Making | starts August 22, 2016

The Level 1 Summer Course in Reporting is for anyone with little or no experience in producing (interview, camera, sound, and editing) video items. You will be introduced to the filmmaking profession and learn the basic skills of camera journalism (camjo). The course begins with an explanation of basic camera and sound techniques. You will be taught what to pay attention to during filming, such as framing, lighting, and backlighting. Next, you will get to work on the first camera assignment, in which you immediately put the theoretical knowledge you have gained into practice. This is followed by a more extensive assignment (camera, interview, and editing), in which you will conduct a number of street interviews. After an introductory lesson in Final Cut Pro X, you will edit the footage you filmed yourself. You will receive assistance from an editor so that, by the end of the course, you will have your first self-made video. Goal: During this course, you will be introduced to camera, sound, interview techniques, and video editing. After completing this course, you will be able to independently produce a simple report. Target group: This course is specifically for beginners in the field of reportage: people who want to explore the genre of reportage. Duration: 4 days Number of participants: minimum 5, maximum 10, individual guidance Course days: August 22, 23, 24 and 25, 2016 Time: 10:00 – 17:00 Cost: €995 (excl.
