Another NBF Network Drink will take place on November 2! This evening will be dedicated to the largest international documentary festival IDFA, which will take place this year from 18 to 29 November in Amsterdam. During this evening, IDFA director Ally Derks will give an exclusive preview of the festival's selection. She will explain the highlights of the program on the basis of fragments and reveal her personal tips. So do you want to be well prepared at the festival? SAMMY PARAMARIBO premieres at Cinekid 2015

PRESS RELEASE AMSTERDAM, 16 October 2015 SAMMY PARAMARIBO premieres at Cinekid 2015 On Sunday, October 18, the festival in Amsterdam pays special attention to Suriname, including the premiere of the new family series SAMMY PARAMARIBO. The 29th edition of Cinekid takes place during the autumn holidays at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam and in more than 40 other cities in the Netherlands, and is the largest film, TV, and media spectacle for young people. SAMMY PARAMARIBO (5 x 8 min) is the new, cheerful children's series by Barbara Bredero (including the Mees Kees trilogy) and was written by Sabrina Sugiarto (including ABI 1 & 2). The series is a co-production of IJswater Films and KRO-NCRV in collaboration with Caribbean Filmcom and The Back Lot, supported by the MEDIAFONDS. Logline Seven-year-old SAMANTHA TRUSTFULL from Almere is finally, after her brothers and sisters, getting her turn this year to go on holiday to adventurous Suriname and her beloved Aunt Sjaan. In Paramaribo, she discovers the diverse cultures that Suriname is rich in and makes friends with the children on Forget-me-not Street. SAMMY PARAMARIBO has its Dutch premiere on Sunday, October 18 at 11:00 AM at Cinekid and will be broadcast on KRO Kindertijd on NPO 3. From Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23, an episode will be shown every day at 7:35 AM. About Cinekid During the two-week Cinekid festival, more than 60,000 children and their parents see, discover, and experience special youth films, documentaries, and television, and there is once again plenty to experience and do in the MediaLab, a unique digital and interactive play and learning garden for young people aged 4 to 14. The Cinekid Festival takes place this year during the autumn break from October 15 to November 1, 2015. School days will be organized at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam on October 15 and 16, and the doors will open to the public from October 17 to 23.
