Filmspiration event Legally into Sales

Filmspiration legally goes into the sales! Sharing tips, exchanging knowledge and inspiring each other are important pillars of Filmspiration. On March 12, we are therefore organizing two special workshops and a dinner. This time, two completely different topics: The Secrets of Copyright and the Backgrounds of Sales for Video Professionals. The program : 17.30-18.00 Reception 6:00 pm-6:30 pm Dinner 18.30 - 20.00 Copyright - Remco Klöters A video is quickly copied in this world. Various colleagues have the experience that their material is used unsolicited in television programmes. Yes/no cropped.... What are the rules now? What exactly is copyright and what exactly are your rights? Remco Klöters (lawyer of Van Kaam) will talk about the day-to-day practice. http://www.van-kaam.nl/nl/Mensen/people/3/) 20.00 22.00 Sales for video professionals In the slower periods it is nice if you know how you can get more jobs. Richard Haeck will take you through the possibilities of sales and marketing. In the world of self-employed professionals, selling is perhaps the hardest part. You prefer to do what you are good at. Standing behind the camera, giving training, editing beautiful videos or developing new concepts. You want to make business. Only without question there is nothing to do. Time to stop selling and start making friends. How many cups of coffee do you drink? How does your work come into the picture? What do you ask for your work? What value do you add to that? More info: http://manageable.nl/ From 21.30-22.30 Martine, Daan and Monique will share their sales tactics with you and discuss the do's and don'ts in sales. (No. they don't know everything either, but they can talk passionately about what has/didn't work for them) To enrol: https://www.eventbrite.nl/e/tickets-filmspiration-goes-legally-into-the-sales--15796164754

Bromet Film School

Course Report Making level 2 | starts May 29, 2015

The Level 2 course offerings are for people who already have experience making reports and want to develop their skills further. In this course, the focus is primarily on the content side of program development and less on the technical side. All the different aspects of program development are covered. The course begins with a research lesson, after which you get to work finding a case for the item you will be filming. Following this, you will receive lessons in interviewing, camera technique, and sound, in which Frans Bromet, among others, guides you through creating an engaging reportage. After filming an item from “Alles te Koop,” a lesson in content editing follows, where you learn how to build a story: the introduction of the subject, the narrative arc, and the conclusion. We use Final Cut Pro X for this. Throughout the course, your progress is continuously evaluated on an individual level. In this evaluation, you discuss the choices you made at various points during the production process. What went well? Where can improvements be made? Finally, there is a viewing session, during which you review and discuss your item with your fellow students and with Frans. Goal After completing this course, you will be able to create a video portrait entirely independently. Target group The course is intended for people who already have experience making reports and want to further develop themselves as camera journalists. The course aligns well with the Reportage Making – Level 1 course. We recommend taking the video editing course first if you have never edited before, as some experience with Final Cut Pro is a requirement for this course. Duration: 4 days Course days: Friday, May 29, June 5, 12, and 19, 2015 Time: 10:00 – 17:00 Cost: €995 (excl. VAT) For more information or inquiries, please feel free to call or email us at: 020 – 261 000 7 or [email protected]
