Ambitious filmmaker is looking for challenging, artistic assignments!
My name is Falco Verholen. In 2013 I graduated from the HKU as a video designer with a surrealistic music video where I was responsible for the screenplay, direction, art direction, editing and (post) production.
My free work can be described as dark, idiosyncratic and symbolic, but often ends with a hopeful note or a new beginning. Teamwork is very important to me - even if the concept itself arises in my own head, I love to consult with other creatives, to be inspired and to initiate interaction.
In addition to my experience as a filmmaker, I have published a number of short (comics) stories, drawn storyboards and developed my skills as an illustrator and concept artist for many years. My drawing skills have regularly proved to be a useful addition to my knowledge as a filmmaker.
My greatest passions in film include experimental shorts, music videos, and commercials that transcend conventional advertising on an artistic or emotional level. I am interested in both working with an existing script and writing my own screenplay, as is thinking along with and visualizing a video campaign or action (drawing out scenes / storyboards / house styles / posters, etc.).
