The Level 2 course offerings are for people who already have experience making reports and want to develop their skills further. In this course, the focus is primarily on the content side of program development and less on the technical side. All the different aspects of program development are covered. The course begins with a research lesson, after which you get to work finding a case for the item you will be filming. Following this, you will receive lessons in interviewing, camera technique, and sound, in which Frans Bromet, among others, guides you through creating an engaging reportage. After filming an item from “Alles te Koop,” a lesson in content editing follows, where you learn how to build a story: the introduction of the subject, the narrative arc, and the conclusion. We use Final Cut Pro X for this. Throughout the course, your progress is continuously evaluated on an individual level. In this evaluation, you discuss the choices you made at various points during the production process. What went well? Where can improvements be made? Finally, there is a viewing session, during which you review and discuss your item with your fellow students and with Frans. Goal After completing this course, you will be able to create a video portrait entirely independently. We are looking for the following: # A narrator (male or female) who can tell our story in Dutch. # 30 Dancers, male or female, aged 16 to 35 with potential acting ambitions. In both, experience is not required, but some feeling must be present. All nationalities are welcome. (Trainings on March 5, 8, and 9.) Our musical consists of 2 stories (Ancient India and the Netherlands) that each feature the Hindu festival Holi Phagua. Half of the show will also be danced to live music, and it lasts well over 2 hours. The costumes and makeup are authentically Indian, and you should expect to spend 2 to 3 minutes per choreography. The entire piece is in Dutch with Indian elements here and there. We do everything on a voluntary basis, but everything is taken care of for you down to the last detail. We train on Monday evenings, Thursday evenings from 19:00 to 22:00, and Sundays from 13:00 to 18:00 in The Hague.
