Amsterdam has a lack of places to shoot experimental projects, and I want to help out with that, by offering my studio for rent for artistic film or photo shoots. Whatever you might need it for and I don't know about yet. It could be one day or several days. Or talk to me ;) I don't have a set price, it depends on your project. Professional studios cost hundreds of euros a day, and those wanting to create something without a million application forms have little places to go. I do have bills to pay though, so it's more donation-for-the-rent based. Most of all I want to stimulate the arts in Amsterdam though, not to have everything available for profit or pay, but in helping each other out. In the end it would be great to create a labor-exchange platform as well, for different vocations, and increase solidarity among artists. The location is in Slotervaart, part of 'cultural incubator' HW10, in an old school building. The studio is also equipped with a shower, it is also available for touring bands as a place to stay. There is plenty of parking space and it is close to the ring road. The studio is 58 square meters, working area about 50. The ceilings are declining from 3.80m to 3.40m. More than fifty years ago, there was a professional film studio in the Netherlands specializing in puppet animation: the Geesink Studio. From the 1940s to the 1970s, this company was run by producer Joop Geesink (1913–1984) and produced hundreds of puppet films under the name Dollywood. The studio won more than 80 international awards, including several Lions Awards from the renowned International Advertising Festival in Cannes. Joop Geesink was one of the great animation pioneers in the Netherlands, along with Marten Toonder and George Pal. The Geesink Studio primarily produced commercials. Apart from their largest Dutch client, Philips, Geesink's international clientele was impressive: Mackeson, Ballantine, Campari, Coca-Cola, Knorr, Heineken, Heinz, and many more. The studio produced commercials for markets in Europe, Asia, South and North America. Germany and Italy were particularly important markets for Geesink; he even opened offices in Düsseldorf and Rome. In its heyday, the studio employed more than 100 staff members. The puppet films are small, visually stunning gems thanks to their professional animation technique, impeccable backgrounds, endearing puppets, and witty stories. The films depict a safe world populated by cheerful characters. For filmmakers with a feature film plan (Telefilm!), there will be another Proeftuin on March 28. You will receive feedback on your plan from experienced script editors, producers, and directors. Previous Proeftuinen have resulted in various One Night Stands, short films, and long-term partnerships. The upcoming Proeftuin is organized by Scriptbank and ScriptAcademy.

A place to register your work and find other filmmakers. In the first two months, 130 filmmakers have signed up. As of this week, visitors can see which creators they are. You must register to view projects. Scriptbank is for screenwriters, directors, and producers and is free to use until May 1st.
