West One Music

West One Music lands in the Netherlands

In a few words: West One Music is a music production company. We don't produce just any music, in fact we pay an incredible amount of attention on the quality of our music. What make us quite unique is that we control the full production process from A to Z. Whenever we spot a good artist, we invite him/her in our studio and make him/her record live. To have this control and creative freedom of choice is one of the reasons why being and staying independent is such a big deal for us. Born in London in 2002, we have been since then delivering our tracks all over the world. Well, almost. We work with 45 international agencies in Europe, North America, East Asia, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. In 2010 we opened a new office in Munich and from there we focus on spreading our music through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The news is: now we are in the Netherlands. With a catalogue of over 20000 tracks we have the suitable music for every format: from documentaries on wild landscapes, to fashion shows, passing through a zombie apocalypse. That has been made possible thanks to our 6 Labels: West One Music - modern tracks for film, series, shows, trailer, documentaries, commercials, corporate films and many more Fired Earth Music - authentic sounds for film trailers à la Hollywood The Scoring House - sophisticated and high-class music with its own flair by internationally awarded composers Electronic Dance Series - newest electro sounds from the hippest clubs in Berlin, New York and Ibiza Noise Refinery - artist-driven commercial sounds directly from Los Angeles Refuel Music - original scores from the 50s to 70s: kitsch, fun and funk. Great for dinner parties along with a Piña Colada All you need to do in order to use our music in your TV production is simply put our names down on your cue sheet. We are members of Buma/Stemra, so be assured that we are covered under their agreements with the local TV channels. For commercials, corporate films and all other uses, you just need to get in touch with Buma/Stemra to get a licence. It’s as easy as it sounds. You can find our music on our website www.westonemusic.com and every single song, as well as entire albums or playlists can be downloaded for free. Pretty cool, uh? Come have a listen or write us for any questions, curiosities or to ask for pictures of our smiling faces. ___________________________________ West One Music start in Nederland Munich, Duitsland – 14 oktober 2014 – We leven muziek! Submit your film plan NOW for Cinemasia FilmLAB 2015!!

Have you always wanted to produce your own short film? CinemAsia is looking for new talent for its FilmLAB. Theme 2015: 'Rituals'. Asia is rich in rituals, so there is plenty of inspiration to submit a creative idea! Deadline is December 7, 2014!!!! The CinemAsia Film Festival organizes its own CinemAsia FilmLAB annually and is once again seeking emerging film talent. Three filmmakers will have the opportunity to create a short film about Dutch-Asian identity, with the theme 'Rituals', within a highly intensive production process. They will receive professional guidance throughout this process. After production, the films will have their world premiere during the 8th edition of the CinemAsia Film Festival, which takes place in Amsterdam from April 1 to 6, 2015. Stories about Asian rituals CinemAsia is calling on young filmmakers to submit a proposal for a short film with the theme 'Rituals' – Rituals adorn cultures, from daily rituals to rituals at important transitional phases in life, such as birth, marriage, religious and social commitments, and death. How is this for Asians in the Netherlands? Indonesians organize a selamatan (sacred meal) upon the birth and death of a person, and even after a move. The Chinese set off fireworks during Chinese New Year and make their lions dance. Indian brides have their hands and feet decorated with a Mehendi (henna) tattoo. There are many more rituals like these. What do they mean, and what meaning do they give to Dutch-Asian identity? Professional guidance, equipment, and budget Three proposals will be selected from all submitted submissions. Filmmaking experience is not required, but strong emphasis will be placed on motivation and a compelling story that addresses Dutch-Asian identity and the theme of rituals. In addition to professional guidance, cameras will be provided by Camalot. The filmmakers will also receive a budget of 500 euros. Deadline December 7 The deadline for registration is December 7, 2014. For more information, visit www.cinemasia.nl.
