Fisherman
Should be a white man of 50+, ideally with grey hair and beard. Must look wise/experienced, but still a little foolish/stupid at times. Someone who has worked on fishing boats and market stalls all his life. Can speak with obvious Dutch accent if applicable. Role is a monologue to camera describing a bizarre order of fish from a mysterious customer
Prostitute
Woman aged 40-60. Any race or size is fine, but must be able to deliver a convincing eastern-european accent (character speaks in broken English) and be comfortable appearing in underwear/negligee. She is an experienced prostitute, good-natured and excitable, describing various encounters with Mr.Frank, and played for comic effect .
Jehovah’s Witnesses 1+2
Two men of any age/size (can be amusing to see a contrast, i.e. one tall/one short, or fat/thin etc.) but must be white, and capable of appearing awkward/naiive. They are a pair of Jehovah’s witnesses who go door-to-door distributing flyers and attempting to convert increasingly angry non-believers, while describing Mr.Frank to camera in-between.
Middle aged man – A surly-looking man who is annoyed by an unwanted visit from our Jehovah’s witnesses. White male 40-60, ideally unshaven, slightly overweight, intimidating look. Can be dutch (with accent) or otherwise.
Middle-aged to Elderly woman – A respectable and sweet-looking woman. White, aged 50-70, grey hair, smartly dressed. She is also approached by the Jehovah’s witnesses and initially seems open and accommodating.
Younger woman – Any ethnicity, aged 20-35. Should be conventionally ‘butch’ in appearance, a stereotypical lesbian (short hair, tattoos, piercings etc.). She is aggressive and confrontational, intended to contrast with the middle-aged woman when it is revealed that they are married, embarrassing the Jehovah’s witnesses.
Muslim man – Any age, polite and respectable-looking, wearing a turban, possibly with a neat beard. Ideally should have a polite British accent. Answers the door to the JW and highlights their bigotry/prejudice.
