The director
As a director, you are involved in all facets of filmmaking. Not only in the development of the idea, but also in the editing. In consultation with the other departments, you determine what the final film will look like. Limburg-based director Pieter Kuijpers made his debut in 2003 with the gripping thriller *Van God Los* and recently made the moving *Hemel op Aarde*. During this interactive masterclass, he will teach you the tricks of the trade and take you through the filmmaking process in the development phase, just before and during the shoot, and in the editing. The course also incorporates several practical assignments, such as writing a director's vision and working with actors.
Pieter Kuijpers
Pieter Kuijpers (1968) has been one of the major players in the Dutch film and television world since his first achievement in 2003 (Van God Los). As a director, he subsequently made, among others, TBS, De Griezelbus, and Doodslag; with his production company Pupkin, he also produced many other short and feature films and series, such as Feuten, Van God Los, Bellicher, Loft, and Doctor Cheezy.
