Background information about journalism student Angela Poll:
As a small child I often wrote stories. I quickly agreed that I wanted to study journalism to write, but after a year I found out that the film profession would suit me much better due to my strong visual ability and the ability to convert the images in my head into images on television.
I love stories. No short news stories, but investigating the deeper layer below. That's why I really appreciate the documentary profession and want to keep developing myself in this.
So, on the one hand, I like creating fictional stories, like artistic films (unfortunately, I've never made one until now), but on the other hand, I have to explore reality through documentary filmmaking.
