The shooting day starts with a hearty, healthy breakfast with juices, freshly baked bread, varied toppings and boiled or fried eggs or an omelette. A hot lunch with your choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. The shooting day is concluded with a buffet with various hot and cold snacks and (if desired) a glass of wine and a beer. *Updated: March 2017* Hello, My name is Sander Blom, I am 23 years old, graduated from the HBO Communication Systems course in Groningen and the Scenario Vocational Training course in Amsterdam and now active as a freelance filmmaker. The work for my own company consists of making company films, promotional films, instructional videos, video clips, afterfilms and event registrations/atmosphere films. Both through my education and in addition, I have started many different film projects in recent years. Since starting my own company three years ago, I have contributed to numerous video clips (Orange Skyline, The Tightropes, Swinder, Drive Like Maria, Victors Village) and made many promo films and atmospheric reports. I am also active as a script writer for various projects. I am working on my own equipment (Panasonic GH5, Nikon D5200, various microphones, tripod, gimbal stabilizer, shoulder tripod, GoPro, lamp set, etc.). I also have experience with cameras such as the Sony a7s (II), the Sony FS700, the Canon C300 and Canon DSLRs. I would like to offer myself as a cameraman/editor for projects in the north of the country, mainly in the provinces of Groningen, Drenthe, Friesland and Overijssel, but of course I am also open to assignments elsewhere in the country. This documentary shows how the film industry is increasingly utilizing technical tools to enable interaction with the audience. For this, firestarters spoke with the people behind IDFA DocLab and studio Submarine, among others. firestarters the series: #4 Interactive Storytelling is available to watch online and airs daily on Discovery Channel. Interactive Storytelling The fourth short documentary by firestarters and Discovery Channel highlights the changing role in which we interact with films. Over the past two decades, digitization has caused an explosive growth in innovations that were also immediately available. In the explosion of technical possibilities and imagery, stories require an active contribution from the viewer. Furthermore, more and more technological tools are at hand, resulting in an infinite number of forms of expression. Experimental filmmakers today are already using iris scans, Google Street View data, apps, and other techniques to provoke interaction. What does this mean for the future of film and documentary? Interactive Storytelling takes place against the backdrop of IDFA Doclab, where the world's most innovative storytellers meet year after year. This includes filmmaker Brent Hoff and robot artist Alexander Reben, who invited the audience during an interactive DocLab Live event to forge a story together using lie detectors and other futuristic devices. Alongside this duo, we follow DocLab curator Caspar Sonnen, Bruno Felix of the multi-award-winning studio Submarine (Ouwe hoeren, Collapsus), Alexandre Brachet (Prison Valley), and actor and theatre maker Bert Hana (Straatfantast, Suiker). Yoga meditation course in exchange for filming

Our students are asking us the whole time to make a yoga video, something that would be exciting for us as well. We always thought of this project as a documentary, blending interviews with us and some students, yoga practice, dhamma talks... We have been discussing with a filmaker from Sweden who was interested in the project about different approaches to this idea but he just got a big shot commercial and is very busy at the moment, so his pro bono work (us) has to wait. But we thought this visit to Amsterdam, would give us the perfect opportunity to film a short dhamma documentary, 'AmsterDhamma', with footage of the city, interviews with us... and maybe we ask some students if they would be willing to participate in an extra free session for filming purposes. Our Swedish Spielberg is out of reach, but... do you by any chance know a filmmaker, or film student who would be interested in participating in what we think would be very interesting look at yoga and spirituality through the eyes of two very unorthodox yogis? He/she would get to participate in the workshop for free and probably get a shoulder rub... (I have done work like this in the past but is tricky to be in front and behind the camera simultaneously)
