Workshop Pitching and Estimating

Pitching and Budgeting Workshop (can also be taken separately) By: Désirée te Nuijl September 21 and/or 22, in Heerlen Price: from €49 per day. - Pitching No matter how many good ideas a director or producer has, they remain under the bed until a financier or client is found who enables them to realize the idea. But how do you sell an idea? It is not easy to clearly explain the story you have been mulling over for weeks or months in just 8 minutes and convince clients, committee members, or a producer. During this workshop, you will learn how to summarize an idea in a clear, lucid, and concise way, and then turn it into a targeted and strong pitch. Skills During the workshop, you will learn the following skills, among others: - What is pitching? - What needs to happen to arrive at a good, effective pitch? How do you proceed with this? - Finally, the skills are applied to prepare one's own pitch. - Budgeting An indispensable element of a pitch is the budget. To clarify to a fund or client the budget required to realize an audiovisual project, a rough estimate will be requested immediately. Production insight and experience are essential for creating a budget for a concept or idea. Through insight into the essence and broad outlines of the idea, we can quickly provide a rough budget indication that must be presented during the pitch. During the workshop, tools and skills are provided to arrive at a budget breakdown into main categories. Skills During the workshop, you will learn the following skills, among others: - What is (the importance of) a global budget? What skills are needed to arrive at an accurate budget based on your idea? - How do you draw up a budget? - Finally, the skills are applied to create one's own budget. Lecturer Désirée te Nuijl teaches at, among others, the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in Amsterdam, the Utrecht University of the Arts, and various media training programs throughout Europe. She has also worked as an executive producer and production manager for various television and film production companies since the 1970s. For instance, she contributed to films by Frans Weisz, Dick Maas, and André van Duren. Discount?
