'There is no I without you' (Christiaan Nortier)
Do you want to audition for drama school soon, or have you been acting with a local amateur group for several years and want to develop your skills further? In ten lessons, actress Jessica Zeylmaker works on your acting skills in the areas of text, musicality, presentation, and ensemble playing. You will get a behind-the-scenes look at how a professional theater group operates. The composition of the group determines whether we conclude with a short presentation in the rehearsal room.

Jessica trained at the Arnhem School of Drama (Artez). After her studies, she performed with various groups such as Toneelgroep de Appel, Theatergroep Suburbia, Generale Oost, and Toneelgroep Amsterdam. She also regularly initiates her own productions. For instance, together with Sarah Jonker, she created the successful production *Wij Zijn Grijs Gebied* for Theater Bellevue, Generale Oost, and production house D'amor. On television, she appeared in various television series: *Van Gogh, een huis voor Vincent*, *Charlie*, *Levenslied*, *De Geheimen van Barslet*, *Van God Los II*, *Flikken Maastricht*, *De Macht van Meneer Miller*, *Bernard Schavuit van Oranje*, *De Co-Assistent*, *Juliana II*, and *De Vier van Westwijk*. Additionally, Jessica teaches at Buitenkunst, Artiest Rijn IJssel Arnhem, UCK, and the Amsterdam Youth Theatre School, among others.
In September 2012, the film *Nono, het Zigzag Kind* (directed by Vincent Bal) premiered as the opening film at the Netherlands Film Festival. Jessica plays the role of Gaby in it (alongside Fedja van Huet and Isabella Rosselini, among others). The film is based on the book of the same name, *Het Zigzagkind*, by David Grossman. The film has been selected for various international film festivals, including the Berlinale, the international film festival in Berlin. The film has also won several awards, such as the Audience Award at Fifem, the international film festival in Montreal, and the EFA Young Audience Award 2013 for Best European Youth Film.
On June 17, the film Spijt! (directed by Dave Schram) premiered. It is the film adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Carry Slee. In just four weeks, the film has already attracted more than 300,000 viewers.
