Teachers such as Mark van Eeuwen, Johnny Kraaijkamp, Willeke van Ammelrooy, Bartho Braat, Marian Mudder and John Jones will introduce you to all facets of camera acting. During this trajectory you will be prepared four evenings a week (Monday-Thursday) to be able to continue independently in the work field or, for example, to move on to an acting school. CAMJO vocational training

Camjo (Camera Journalist) is a production technique in which one person takes care of the entire development, recording and finishing (self-directing camera person). At Open Studio we like to see this broader than just news reporting: from product presentation to human interest, from oral history to online storytelling. If you want to develop into an all-round and independent program maker, the VAK Camjo training is a good starting point. The VAK Camjo training focuses on the fact that you are simultaneously an editor, director, cameraman/woman, soundman/woman, interviewer and editor. Each skill is treated separately, both technically and substantively. Within this course we work with the Final Cut Pro X program during the editing block. You will become acquainted with all the important parts of the profession and will also learn about the interdependence between production, directing, scenario, camera, light, sound, stage direction, interview technique and editing. In addition, attention is paid to the importance of cooperation and teamwork.

Vocational training in production management

For a Production Manager it is an advantage to know what it is like to film. You will benefit greatly from this in the proper performance of your duties. That is why during this training you will become acquainted with the basic skills of filming. The film part is concluded with the making of a short production. Then we dive into the world of production management. Within this vocational training you learn to guide the film process and the specialists involved, both artistically and organizationally. A producer is involved in every phase of a film journey. While learning the basic skills of filming, the emphasis is on camera and editing and the relationship between them. In addition, you get a taste of directing, screenplay and sound. The production part of this vocational training is, in line with the activities of a production manager, a very broad training. A production manager is involved in developing an idea in pre-production, but also in shooting during production and finishing the film in post-production. The production manager plays a role in each phase, which means that the program deals with both the artistic content and the practical organizational side of making a media production.
