Intensive acting internship in the Stanislavsky Method

INTENSIVE INTERNSHIP IN THE STANISLAVSKY METHOD/ACTING FOR THE CAMERA When is an actor's acting performance successful? One of the most commonly used criteria to evaluate a film is the level of reality. This also applies to the acting performances themselves. Acting is much more than portraying a character. It requires total awareness and control over body, voice and mind. A character is not copied, it is created. Acting is about mastering your 'total package'. In this intensive internship you will learn how to use the Stanislavsky method to give a more believable shape to a character. Based on the basic principles in which you consciously learn to deal with your voice and body, we will look for the truthfulness of your playing. In addition, we learn how we can apply these techniques both on the theater floor and in front of the camera and how you must and can use the space on the floor and in the image frame. We work in a beautiful quiet rural environment. Dates : week internship : Monday 8/4 to Friday 12/4 > 13h-18h weekend internship : Saturday 20/4 to Sunday 21/4 > 11h-17h Saturday 4/5 to Sunday 5/5 > 11h-17h Location : Kruibeke/Belgium Price : week course 220€ /weekend course 110€ We work with a limited number of participants! Four-day workshop 'Pitching and budgeting'

Workshop 'Pitching and Budgeting' An intensive four-day workshop led by Désirée te Nuijl Dates: April 27 & 28 and May 11 and 12, from 10:00 to 16:30 (full class time). Location: Heerlen or Maastricht. Pitching and budgeting No matter how many good ideas a director or producer has, they remain under the bed until a financier or client is found who enables them to realize the idea. But how do you sell an idea? It is not easy to clearly explain the story you have been mulling over for weeks or months in just 8 minutes and convince clients, committee members, or a producer. During this four-day Pitching and Budgeting workshop, directors and producers learn how to clearly summarize an idea to its essence and craft a complete, goal-oriented, and strong pitch for it. To clarify to a fund or client the budget required to realize an audiovisual project, a rough estimate will be requested immediately. Production insight and experience are indispensable for creating a rough estimate for a concept or idea. Through insight into the essence and broad outlines of the idea, we can quickly provide a rough budget indication that will need to be presented during the pitch. During the workshop, tools and skills are provided to arrive at a budget breakdown into key items. Daily routine and skills - Day 1: What is pitching? What needs to happen to create a good, effective pitch? How do you go about this? Subsequently, the skills are applied to prepare your own pitch. - Day 2: Based on a budget, tools are offered to link a global budget to the idea. - Day 3: The budget is reviewed and compared, allowing it to be added to your own pitch proposal. - Day 4: The participants' pitches will be practiced and discussed. The Pitching and Budgeting workshop makes a big difference in the ability to realize a project: ideas under the bed or… brought to the attention of the public? The choice is yours! Think before you shoot! Prices The cost of participation is €225 (excluding VAT) for members; non-members pay €325. Students (member): €195 and students (non-member): €275. In addition to participating in the four-day workshop, you will receive course materials, lunch, drinks and snacks, and a certificate of participation. Register via [email protected]. Tip: In many cases, the costs are fully tax-deductible as business expenses or (in the case of a (future) profession) as study costs!
