Creatifs

Training for stage tigers

Creatifs is a two-year part-time post-graduate program for theater, business, and film & TV. The program guides you in creating your own material, offers experience with corporate performances, and helps you develop a branding plan. Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnKWXSoWJwk for an impression. Creatifs was born out of a need for high-quality, substantive ideas and is a new name for a group of jacks-of-all-trades who defy categorization. Such as: comedian, singer-songwriter, corporate cabaret performer, improviser, presenter, inspirational speaker, trainer, moderator, interviewer, and filmmaker. Anyone who writes/invents and performs/performs themselves; in short: a Creatif. The costs of the training can remain low because students share in the profits through corporate performances. The program is exclusively practice-oriented, part-time, inspiring, and easy to combine with other work or studies. We start in October, but we have existed for 9 years in the form of a first year (formerly called: De Kip). The program is small-scale and personal. The first year has no more than 7 or 8 students. More information can be found at www.creatifs.biz The first year runs from October through March, and the time commitment is one day per week. Where: Utrecht Costs: €1,850 excl. VAT per year, of which a maximum of €500 per year can be earned back via the Creatifs revenue model. Registration: audition on September 28 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Utrecht Centre for the Arts, Domplein 4, Utrecht. film adaptation of Joris Luyendijk's THEY ARE LIKE PEOPLE

Film adaptation of Joris Luyendijk's THEY ARE NET MENSEN Producer Talent United has taken out an option to film the successful book by Joris Luyendijk, HET ZIJN NET MENSEN. The director is Stefano Odoardi, and the screenplay is by Sytske Kok. The book deals with the impossibility of good, unfiltered journalistic reporting on the Middle East. Luyendijk describes his five years as a correspondent, the dictatorship he experienced there firsthand, and the gap between what he observed and how he could report on it in the media. For this, he received the Dick Scherpenzeel Prize in 2006, and in the same year, he was named Journalist of the Year. In 2007, he won the NS Public Prize, and in 2010, the Prix des Assises du journalisme, the first time this prize went to a non-Frenchman. The Italian-born director Stefano Odoardi made his debut in 2007 with his feature film A WHITE BALLAD, which was selected for the Rotterdam Film Festival, among others. Screenwriter Sytske Kok previously collaborated with Stefano Odoardi on the ONE NIGHT STAND titled TUNNELVISIE, which won multiple awards at international festivals, including Best Film and Best Director. Odoardi developed the film project during his studies at the Binger Directorslab in 2012 and received many positive international reactions to the project at the Cannes Film Festival market last year, from both co-producers and distributors. The film will be shot largely in the Middle East. Amsterdam, 3 Sept 2012. For more information: Paul Ruven, Talent United: tel 0651245041, email [email protected]
