Do you have a passion for (camera) acting and do you want to make it your profession? Register now for the auditions of our four-month trajectory 'Acting for Film and TV'. During an intensive period of four months, four evenings a week, we will give you a good basis so that you can find your own way in the profession of 'camera acting'. You do this under the guidance of Johnny Kraaijkamp, Willeke van Ammelrooy and Chris Tates, among others. They will deal with all facets of 'camera acting'. In addition to acting lessons, you also get extra workshops such as stage fighting, lessons in voice use, casting instructions and film history. At the end of the course you will work on a final project of which you will receive the result on DVD as the start of a good showreel. Professional scenario training

In this Vocational Training you will learn the basics of writing for audiovisual productions. A screenwriter comes up with a concept for a story and then develops it into a screenplay, a visual story. This vocational training teaches you the necessary skills for developing scenarios and plans for fiction, documentary and commissioned film. A screenwriter creates a story out of nothing. Curiosity, creativity and inventiveness are necessary for this, but also skill to translate this into a scenario or film plan. The acquisition of this skill is taught during 4 blocks, based on fragments, theory and exercises. In this training, the participants come up with and search for ideas for a short documentary, a short feature film or a commissioned film.

If you are visually and substantively strong and you are intrigued by the magic of editing, the Vocational Training in Editing is for you. You learn how to construct a story by skillfully using substantive and technical tools. An editor is ultimately responsible for editing in a media production. This vocational training is a practice-oriented training with extensive attention to operating technology and skills of assembly equipment. In addition, the course is also treated from a theoretical perspective. The theoretical blocks are richly illustrated with fragments and thus form the basis for practical exercises. During these exercises it is made clear that the central idea of a production is guiding for the approach of the editor.

CAMERA PROFESSIONAL training

If you are visually oriented and want to learn how to work professionally with the camera, the Vocational Training Camera is for you. You learn to tell a story with the camera by making skilful use of design and technique. A cameraman/woman is ultimately responsible for the image in a media production. Within the course, the content of images, visual language and storytelling with the camera is central. From a theoretical framework, which is broadened and deepened during the course, camera technique, camera and program styles and recording procedures are discussed. You learn to articulate style and vision with regard to recording and ultimately translate it into visual language. In addition, attention is paid to functioning as a self-directing cameraman and working under direction.

Professional directing

If you are creative and you have a passion for telling stories through moving images, the Vocational Training Directing is something for you. Within this vocational training you learn to tell a visual story in a creative way and with dramaturgical insight. A director has final artistic responsibility for a media production. Directing is not so much capturing reality as shaping your view and vision of that reality. This vocational training responds to the talent and creativity of the individual student, so that individuality as a film and television maker can be discovered and developed. A director must be able to convey his/her passion to others: producer, crew & cast, audience. What are the duties of a director? Which technique do you use? During this training, theoretical blocks and practical and technical exercises are used to discuss the basic skills that are necessary to be able to exercise directing as a professional.
