There is a great deal of media attention for this project from both home and abroad. It started with BNN's 24/7 program on Monday evening, April 23. The next day, we were featured on all the news broadcasts in the Netherlands. From the Jeugdjournaal to the NOS Journaal and RTL 4 News. Later that week, De Wereld Draait Door and Paul de Leeuw followed. Newspapers such as de Volkskrant, Trouw, AD, Telegraaf & The Sunday Times dedicated an article to it. Lotte's film, for example, has received 3,500 likes and 300 comments on Vimeo so far. and on YouTube 8,000 likes and 2,000 comments. In this film, my daughter grows up before your eyes at breakneck speed. She pulls funny faces, chatters away (inaudibly), shows off bike racks and swimming certificates, and before you know it, she is 12. I started filming Lotte in the second week after her birth. She changed so fast that I wanted to capture the process so I could keep remembering it. Other people make a photo album, but I started filming weekly to make the invisible visible. Tonight, Marco van Geffen accepted the ARTE Prize for Best L'Atelier Project for IN JOUW NAAM. IN JOUW NAAM is one of fifteen projects selected this year for the prestigious Cannes L'atelier, an initiative through which the Cannes Film Festival encourages the emergence of a new generation of filmmakers. During the festival, the selected directors and their producers are brought into contact with international financiers and other film professionals. IN YOUR NAME tells the story of a normal, happy couple who are completely thrown off course when their newborn child dies unexpectedly. When the woman becomes pregnant again, her husband cannot come to terms with it and sees only one solution… Barry Atsma (Komt een vrouw bij de Dokter, Loft) and Elise Schaap (Bride Flight) have been cast for the lead roles. The film is the second part of Marco van Geffen's trilogy titled Vinex, about family dramas. ONDER ONS, the first part of the trilogy, had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival in August 2011, where the film won two awards. This was immediately followed by the North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. With his feature film debut, Marco van Geffen was included in Screen International's 2011 hits and rising stars. His short film Het Zusje received a Golden Palm nomination at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007. Marco van Geffen wrote the screenplay for his second feature film together with screenwriter Jolein Laarman (TUSSENSTAND, KAUWBOY), with whom he also wrote the screenplay for ONDER ONS. IN YOUR NAME is produced by Lemming Film and will be screened in the autumn of 2012. The film is being made with support from the Netherlands Film Fund. Distributor Cinéart is expected to release the film in Dutch cinemas in the spring of 2013.
