Will your short film travel the world?

April 22 it's that time again! A new edition of Quickflick! The theme this time is: Metamorphosis! Filmmakers and directors, young, old, experienced or amateur; We challenge you to make a short film (maximum 3 minutes) for the next Screening Party. A video, animation, stop motion or filmed clay construction... everything is possible. Go as far as your creativity allows with the only limitation of time and theme. Hand in your video before April 15 and we will show it on Sunday April 22 from Café Brecht for a fun and challenging audience. Bring your friends, because the audience winner wins the Golden Quickie award. A nice prize has also been made available for that video by our main sponsor Jameson. These could be tickets to a film festival, or coveted tickets to the Jameson Experience. The winning video will also be shown on the website of VPRO thirst! But there's more! The very best local films will be screened in all participating cities during the next edition of Quickflick! Will your video go around the world? Quickflick is an international platform where you as a young filmmaker get the chance to work on your showreel and test your talent worldwide. In addition, you will meet nice inspiring people from the field at the Screening Parties and you may make useful contacts. Acting Film and TV 2 is a course for advanced students. Only people with acting experience are admitted. In Acting Film and TV 2, participants are challenged to bring out the best in themselves in front of the camera without letting nerves or insecurity hold them back. Through the frequent use of the camera, participants will begin to apply their acting skills in practice in a credible manner. The 3 main pillars of the Acting Film and TV 2 program are: 1. Adhering to the basic principles of acting. Keeping acting qualities simple and fluid. Focusing on one's own acting qualities. Feeling comfortable and performing for the camera, fellow actors, and crew. 2. Gaining practical experience; Acting frequently and presenting oneself, preparing scenes, recording, reviewing, and evaluating. Learning to articulate one's own or others' acting skills based on one's own insight. 3. Floor: â€¢ Game credibility • Emotions • Focus and concentration • Empathy (imagination) • Collecting • Offer teamwork and counterplay • Character development • Voice usage & diction • Text and role analysis • Camera angles • Style analysis, comedy, drama Practice: At TVCollege, camera and recording equipment is available with which the recorded scenes are reviewed and critically evaluated. During the final lesson, a separate film crew is used. Throughout the study program, every student works towards their own final scene. The film crew records this. You learn to tell a story with the camera by making skilful use of design and technique. A cameraman/woman is ultimately responsible for the image in a media production. Within the course, the content of images, visual language and storytelling with the camera is central. From a theoretical framework, which is broadened and deepened during the course, camera technique, camera and program styles and recording procedures are discussed. You learn to articulate style and vision with regard to recording and ultimately translate it into visual language. In addition, attention is paid to functioning as a self-directing cameraman and working under direction.

You learn how to construct a story by skillfully using substantive and technical tools. An editor is ultimately responsible for editing in a media production.
