Multimedia Engineer
MultiMedia Engineer is a program that lasts 12 months (full-time) or 18 months (part-time) and consists of the modules Web Development, Web Development Advanced, and Interactive Media.
MultiMedia Engineer (MME) is the degree program for web and interaction design. The structure of the program integrates the essential subjects: concept development, audio, video, graphics, and authoring. In addition to the necessary theory, the program focuses heavily on practical work.

During the program, you will complete many practical exercises, assignments, and a final project, such as a complete website or an interactive DVD. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to work as a professional webmaster, web designer, and/or interaction designer.

Career opportunities
The opportunities for a student with a Multimedia Engineer degree are very diverse. A few examples:
Freelancer
You possess the basic knowledge to create simple websites. As a freelancer, you will be responsible for designing and developing them yourself.
Webmaster
As a webmaster, you manage and maintain a website. Almost every company has a website these days, so you can work in a wide variety of industries.
Advising
During the Web Development module, you gained knowledge to advise clients or colleagues on which techniques are suitable for specific web projects.
Employment
You can also, for example, take on a Junior position at advertising agencies or web design agencies. During your practical training, you will learn more advanced techniques, and you can optionally supplement your knowledge and skills with a short course at CMM.
Lessons authorized by Apple, Adobe, and Avid
The curriculum includes a number of official training courses from Apple, Adobe, and Avid. This means that for the subjects Final Cut Express, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Pro Tools, use is made of the training structure and the corresponding official course material authorized by Apple, Adobe, and Avid.
Although not mandatory, it is possible to complete the lessons authorized by Apple, Adobe, and Avid with an exam. You will then receive an official certificate for this module. Discuss the possibilities with the instructor.
Teaching material
With the Multimedia Engineer program, you receive a number of readers packed with supplementary information, assignments, and tips, specially compiled by the instructor.

Required prior knowledge
- good handling of computers and general software features
- knowledge of the English language (software and course materials are in English)
Further studies
After completing the three modules of the Multimedia Engineer program, it is possible to delve even deeper into the subject matter and take the Interactive Programmer or PHP/MySQL course. These additional courses take your knowledge and skills to a higher level.
Since 2005, CMM has had a partnership with Staffordshire University. This makes it possible to continue studying for a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree after successfully completing the Multimedia Engineer and PHP/MySQL programs.
