The international feature film 'Tula: The Revolt', about the great slave revolt on Curaçao, is issuing shares to secure financing. The shares will be available starting Friday, September 16. The film, with a budget of over 10 million dollars, could previously count on the support of the Curaçao Minister of Economic Affairs, who promised to push for a contribution of 1 million dollars. In the meantime, more parties have rallied behind this project. Ninsee in the Netherlands and the Prince Bernhard Fund in Curaçao have also indicated their support for this initiative. Producers Jeroen Leinders and Dolph van Stapele have deliberately set high expectations for the film. 'It is our intention with this film to make clear in one fell swoop what the role of the Netherlands was during the era of slavery. We do not want to point an accusing finger, but rather show, through a very personal story, what the relationship between white and black is based on. In doing so, the producers hope to create better mutual understanding between the different population groups. The English-language film will not only be released in the Netherlands. America also showed interest, because transit ports like Curaçao were important in the transport of slaves to the New World. VOÃ SZ at the Netherlands Film Festival 2011 Live sung film music conducted by Erik van Vugt with visuals by VJ Martijn Grootendorst VOÃ SZ Vocal Projects from Utrecht is presenting a special program item at the 31st Netherlands Film Festival this year. On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September, the 15 singers will present the performance Take Two at the Museum Speelklok. Well-known and lesser-known film music takes on a completely different meaning in this transmedia performance. Featuring visuals by VJ Martijn Grootendorst and the unique instruments from the Speelklok collection. VOISZ is a vocal project group consisting of 15 experienced singers. On a project basis, it explores the boundaries of light vocal music. The motto: anything is possible and allowed, as long as it stimulates the musicality and creativity of both the singer and the listener. VOISZ created its first performance in collaboration with improvisation dancers. Take Two is a collaboration between VOISZ and Martijn Grootendorst, a highly experienced theater VJ. Are you looking for a still photographer capable of producing good images under the most difficult conditions? Please get in touch with me. Nautical photography is my main specialization. This means that I must be able to capture images on and around the water in all conditions—including rough seas and bad weather. My equipment and working methods are geared towards performing in challenging conditions. Whether it is from a height of 120 meters in a tower crane being dismantled, sitting in an open doorway from a helicopter with a harness to keep from falling out, or on a swaying rubber boat with a 500mm lens on the camera; it is precisely under those circumstances that I feel at my best.

As a nautical photographer, I often work on the water with my own inflatable boat. However, this boat is also perfectly suitable for film and video production. I am a highly experienced skipper who—given my background as a photographer—knows what crews are doing and can position the boat exactly as needed. Due to its relatively large width, the boat is very stable, both at rest and at speed.
