Open studio: basic direction/camera/editing training

Does the Film & Television world appeal to you, but you are not yet sure what you would like to do most? Then get acquainted with all aspects of the profession and consider the Basic Training in Directing, Camera & Editing as the foundation for your next choice as a starting professional. The Basic Training is also literally the basis of all training and courses at Open Studio. The Basic Training is based on the principle that you should know at least something about all disciplines before you specialize in one or more disciplines. You will become acquainted with all the important parts of the profession and will also learn about the interdependence between production, directing, scenario, camera, light, sound, stage direction, interview technique and editing. In addition, attention is paid to the importance of cooperation and teamwork.

Lies Visschedijk in how do I survive...the series

This week, AVRO and Lemming Film begin filming the series *Hoe Overleef Ik…*, based on the book series by Francine Oomen. The lead role of Rosa is played by 14-year-old Roos Wiltink, and the mature supporting roles are filled by Lies Visschedijk, Tjebbo Gerritsma, Bert Luppes, Eric Corton, Eva Van der Gucht, and Harry Van Rijthoven. Directors Remy van Heugten and Ties Schenk are looking forward to the upcoming filming period. Remy van Heugten: 'We have put together a great cast, a beautiful script, and a top-notch crew... I expect that together we will create a spectacular series.' Simone van den Ende, Head of Drama at AVRO: 'AVRO started developing the Hoe Overleef Ik… television series two years ago. After two years of research and writing, I am incredibly happy that we are now starting to film. I look forward to a special series.' The How Do I Survive… series consists of 12 episodes of 25 minutes and is based on How Do I Survive - the First Year of High School?, How Do I Survive My First Kiss?, and How Do I Survive - Myself?. The scripts were written by Maarten Lebens, Carly Schuit, and Fabie Hulsebos. The series is presented cross-media via television, radio, and the internet and can be seen on AVRO on Z@PP starting October 30, 2011.

SHOOTING STAR adapts thriller BRAM DEHOUCK

The book 'A Summer Without Sleep' by Bram Dehouck is being adapted into a film. Shooting Star Filmcompany has optioned the film rights. Tallulah H. Schwab is the intended director. Last year, Dehouck won the Schaduwprijs and the Gouden Strop for his debut, 'De Minzame Moordenaar'. The sequel, which may now be adapted into a film, has been nominated for the Hercule Poirot Prize. The jury speaks of 'masterful sketches' and 'rich in suggestions'. Windmills A Summer Without Sleep, Dehouck's second book that is now set to be adapted into a film, is about butcher Herman Bracke, who becomes so weary of windmills in his neighborhood that he loses his temper. And in doing so, he sets something irreversible in motion. Shooting Star Shooting Star Filmcompany is known for its adaptations of Kruimeltje and Pietje Bell. The latest Shooting Star film was 'Sonny Boy'. In September, filming begins on the thriller Cop vs Killer, based on the book by Simon de Waal.
