Marjolijn Patist

Editor / 3D / Motion Graphics

Junior post production / Visual Effects Employee is looking for a nice job. In July I will finish my Animation and Audio / Visual education (at the Media College in Amsterdam) and after that I would of course like to participate in beautiful productions at a nice company. Because many young talented people are looking for a job, I'm putting a post on this site now. Of course I don't have years of experience yet and that's why I'm looking for a company that has room for a young enthusiastic colleague, where they like to transfer their knowledge. To ultimately achieve a beautiful end result together. Especially the post-production/Visual Effects part of projects really appeals to me and I think the versatility ensures that it's fun to be busy with something different every time. That's why I would like to work, at a company that works with 3D software and After Effects. Most of my work from my first year of school can be seen on my website: www.empathist.nl. After that I did an internship at SBS Productions (Hart van Nederland and Shownieuws) and Carbon Media in Amsterdam (www.carbonmedia.nl). I have done editing, motion graphics and 3D work, among other things. However, due to rights, I am not allowed to show any work on my website, which unfortunately makes it a bit outdated. It was my intention to completely renew my website in the coming period, but because I can take an early exam one year, the priorities are now slightly different. Hopefully you can move into that. If you are looking for an enthusiastic, studious employee in the near future, I hope to hear from you. Yours sincerely, Marilyn Patist showreel: www.empathist.nl Contact: [email protected] Experience with: Photoshop/Illustrator After Effects Premiere Avid Cinema 4D 3Ds Max Particle Illusion

Herman van Veen supports new Cinecrowd project

Herman van Veen supports film project Cinecrowd.nl Online-funded short film deals with child sexual abuse Herman van Veen is the first sponsor of the newest project on Cinecrowd.nl, titled 'Wednesdays'. On the site, the cabaret artist urges viewers to support this project by 'a very special young maker'. Regarding the subject of the film, child sexual abuse, he says: 'It is about the right a child has to be safe in any environment whatsoever.' The short film project by director Aaron Rookus hopes to secure sufficient support for realization within 70 days. 'Wednesdays' is about the experience of 8-year-old Kris, who goes to the swimming pool with 35-year-old Willem. The little boy enjoys himself in an uninhibited way, until he is confronted with a strange request in the changing room… Director Aaron Rookus: 'Through my short film, I want to give the child a voice regarding a subject that has been the subject of much discussion again this past year. Purely by letting the viewer feel how vulnerable you are as a child.' Producer Maarten van der Ven: 'We are very happy with the arrival of Cinecrowd. It gives us the opportunity to make a film that would be impossible to finance through traditional channels. But it is a film that, because of the subject matter and the talent of the director, simply has to be made.' About Cinecrowd Stichting CineCrowd is a non-profit website set up by a group of young filmmakers and entrepreneurs who were looking for a new form of financing. CineCrowd is a form of crowdfunding, which brings large groups of people together to finance an idea. Such platforms have existed for some time for, among other things, the publication of books, art projects, and bands.
