Our highly experienced American actor/trainer Jerry Coyle explores your limits of daring, self-reflection, inspiration, and acting insight in a five-day program. Shift your perspective and learn cold reading skills and really act on camera. The workshop: Jerry Coyle, a renowned American trainer with over 30 years of experience, is coming to the Netherlands to give a workshop. It involves a specially developed method in which you learn how to act for the camera, in an intensive five-day training! The workshop offers excellent insight into acting for the camera. It provides directors and actors, at any point in their careers, with a supportive and inspiring environment to dare to explore, develop, and grow. This method is unique. It is a fast, effective, and valuable way to emotionally charge actors and prepare them not to "act" for the camera. The language of instruction for the training is English. Scripts, texts, and scenes will be provided by Jerry himself. In the future, it will also be possible to bring your own scenes to be covered in the course.

Joan de Jong

Production assistant, dresser, editor

My name is Joan de Jong. I graduated from InHolland University of Applied Sciences in 2006 with a degree in Media and Entertainment Management. I specialized in television there and, among other things, produced my own documentary, from concept to editing. I did an internship at the Tros program Vermist, where I was primarily involved in production. My tasks there included: archiving footage, creating schedules and scripts for the live broadcast, arranging camera crews and editing, arranging Dutch celebrities for the telephone team, setting up segments and organizing everything surrounding them, and welcoming guests. I worked as a production assistant at Teleac/NOT Schooltv on the program Huisje Boompje Beestje. For this, I also arranged filming days and archived footage, and I worked as a runner in the studio for a few days. I also worked as a dresser for a month at FourOneMedia on the program De Co-Assistent, and I worked in the Costume Department at Stage Entertainment for the musical Joseph. Over the past year, I have taken on some projects outside the television world. Among other things, I have organized a number of private parties and weekends commissioned by friends and acquaintances. I also helped with the production of several student films. Recently, I worked as a producer at New Content Media, the program LifestyleXperience.tv on RTL5. Here, I also handled the online editing and wrote the newsletter. Award-winning director Jaco van Dormael does Q&A

On Sunday, October 10, from 4:00 PM, De Fabriek has the honor of welcoming the director of Mr. Nobody, Jaco van Dormael. Van Dormael will be in conversation with NRC Handelsblad film critic André Waardenburg. Jaco van Dormael is a director and screenwriter who has been working primarily in Hollywood in recent years. The 53-year-old filmmaker from Brussels made, among other works, the engaging drama *Le huitième jour*, which was awarded the (shared) Best Actor prize at Cannes. Van Dormael worked on his masterpiece *Mr. Nobody* for more than 10 years. Reservations are recommended. Language: English. Mr. Nobody is the most ambitious—and expensive—Belgian film project ever. And an overwhelming and unique viewing experience, to boot. If Nemo Nobody had chosen to live with his father as a child, would he have met that one great love? And would he still be the same person if he had dodged that single tree leaf on the road years ago? The extraordinary film Mr. Nobody shows all the different lives Nemo could have led—and all the loves he could have met. Director Jaco Van Dormael tells his kaleidoscopic story through plenty of visual bombast, funny cinematic gags, and a compelling soundtrack. The film lies somewhere between science fiction and a love drama but convinces as a film that transcends all genres. directed by: Jaco Van Dormael starring: Jared Leto, Diane Kruger, Sarah Polley Belgium / Canada / Germany 2009, 138 minutes
