The Northern Amateur Film Festival offers a stage for amateur filmmakers from all over the country, on which they can show their films to other filmmakers and film enthusiasts! There are three categories for which you can submit videos: - young people (up to 19 years) - amateurs (anyone who is not involved with film professionally or through training) - audiovisual students (anyone following a film-related course) For the Northern Amateur Film Festival on November 13, 2010 we are again looking for new creative films of maximum 20 minutes, produced in 2009-2010. Do you want to show your film on a big screen during a film festival? Then send your film with a registration form to the Northern Amateur Film Festival before September 1, 2010! Participants from Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe and Overijssel can also participate in the festival competition. The thriller REYKJAVIK - ROTTERDAM will be screened on August 25 at the Pleinbioscoop, the free festival in Rotterdam. This feature film is Iceland's Oscar submission for Best Foreign Language Film this year. A Hollywood remake is in the works, starring Mark Wahlberg (THE DEPARTED). The thriller won many awards and premiered this year at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, after which it appeared in cinemas nationwide. The film is a Rotterdam co-production by Dick Rijneke and Mildred van Leeuwaarden (Rotterdam Films) and the Icelandic production company Blueeyes Productions, founded by Baltasar Kormakur and Agnes Johansen. It is directed by Oskar Jonasson. The screenplay for REYKJAVIK-ROTTERDAM was written by the Icelandic bestselling author Arnaldur Indridason, known in the Netherlands for titles such as Noorderveen and Moordkuil. a good day. my name is robin and i love films. I wrote a script myself. I first wanted to make it myself, but due to circumstances nothing came of it. I will tell you what it is about in broad outline. it's about a courier who kills people. he doesn't just do it, it has to do with the past and the main characters can't do anything about it because some are just unlucky people who are in the place where the courier is at the wrong time. it's a horror film and I hope to get a response to this message. but maybe there are people who would like to make this film together with me because this is my first film story.
