Seen something surprising, crazy, or cool on YouTube or Vimeo? Years ago at your first HAFF? Do you want to see it again on the big screen? Or do you think everyone should see it? Let us know! Name the title and tell us why everyone should see it. You can submit a maximum of three films (not your own film; there are other programs for that). The HAFF compiles a program with your must-sees and brings the film to Utrecht especially for you. Not a cumbersome or politically correct canon, but an exciting, subjective, and dazzling selection of animated films. Attention! The film must not be older than the HAFF, so not older than 25: no old farts at this party... We will raffle three free festival passes among the entries. The European Film Academy and EFA Productions gGmbH hereby announce the titles of the 46 films selected for a nomination for the 2010 European Film Awards. With films from 32 countries, the list showcases the great diversity of European cinema. The Netherlands is represented on this list by NOTHING PERSONAL by Urszula Antoniak, THE LIEGE OF KAZBEK by Ineke Smits, and the co-productions MY QUEEN KAIRO by Dorothee van den Berghe and MY JOY by Sergei Loznitsa. In the 20 countries with the most EFA members, members were allowed to directly select a film from their own country for the selection. A special committee consisting of EFA Board Members and film professionals Gunnar Bergdahl (Sweden), Pierre-Henri Deleau (France), Stefan Kitanov (Bulgaria), Derek Malcolm (UK), and Nikolaj Nikitin (Germany) further supplemented the list. From this selection, the 2,300 members of the European Film Academy will choose the nominations for the various categories in the coming weeks. JVC HZ-CA13U PL Mount adapter for JVC GY-HD200/201/250/251 and GY-HM700/790 INCLUDES Kinor 10-100mm PL zoom lens! With this unique adapter, you are able to attach professional (Super) 16mm PL mount film lenses to your 1/3" JVC camera. The adapter has a Field of View comparable to a 16mm film lens. The Depth of Field of a 16mm lens is therefore preserved and transferred to the camera's 1/3" image sensor via 11 optical elements. Unlike 35mm adapters from, for example, Letus and Redrock, the HZ-CA13U has no moving ground glass. Everything is solid state and of high quality. The adapter also features a back-focus ring. The adapter, which is in near-mint condition, is being sold including a Russian-made Kinor 10-100mm 16mm PL mount zoom lens. This lens has a soft image character and exhibits some 'vignetting'. The jury of the 2010 Golden Calf Competition has been expanded compared to previous years. General Chairman Pieter Broertjes leads the jury, which consists of a total of thirteen members. Today, Willemien van Aalst, Director of the Netherlands Film Festival, held a press conference at the Ketelhuis in Amsterdam regarding the upcoming edition of the 30th Netherlands Film Festival. During the conference, she presented the highlights of the 2010 program and announced several news items, such as the awarding of the Golden Calf for the Culture Prize, the nominations for the City of Utrecht Film Prize, the speaker for the Variety Cinema Militans Lecture, and the presentation of the online NFF Film Archive featuring thirty years of NFF history. Golden Calf for the Culture Prize to Rolf Orthel Producer and director Rolf Orthel will be honored with the Golden Calf for the Culture Prize 2010 during the Opening Night of the 30th Netherlands Film Festival on Wednesday, September 22. NFF Film Archive online with thirty years of NFF history Starting today, the Netherlands Film Festival presents thirty years of festival history with the online NFF Film Archive. Behind the scenes, work has been underway for two years to digitally unlock the information for all films ever screened at the NFF. The NFF Film Archive now contains updated descriptions and credits for more than 8,600 film titles. I can't wait any longer, I'm so excited to play, learn and develop. After a year of graduating from the Trap in Amsterdam, I still have to find my way. Lots of student films and unpaid assignments, but I've had that now, I believe I'm ready for the real work! I just love playing, but presenting is also in my blood. I don't have much material to show yet, and what I have I find difficult to distribute, you know, I'm not very good at computers. So unfortunately I don't have a website yet, but if you are interested, I can show you enough to arouse your interest!
