Miffy the film and A Small Chance receive a subsidy

Miffy the film and A Small Chance selected Subsidy for two new feature films Miffy the film will be the first Dutch feature-length animated film in almost thirty years. The film is partly made possible by a financial contribution from the Spanish sales agent Six Sales, and is produced by the Danish animation studio A.Film. The film was developed with the animation intendant of the fund and will receive a realization subsidy of 350,000 euros. Director: Hans Perk Screenplay: James Still Production: Chris Brouwer for Telescreen Film Productions Logline: Miffy visits the zoo with her friends. Together they go on an exciting and cheerful treasure hunt along the animals, in which the public can actively participate. Miffy plays games, sings songs and discovers a big surprise at the end. The youth film A Small Chance, based on the well-known book by Marjolijn Hof (Gouden Griffel 2007), has received a 475,000 euro realization subsidy. Director: Nicole van Kilsdonk Script: Lotte Tabbers Production: Lemming Film Logline: Kiek is afraid because her father is going to the war to help people. To reduce the chance of something happening to him, she goes to strange lengths: she needs a dead dog and a dead mouse. Kiek doesn't know anyone who has a dead mouse, a dead dog and a dead father. That's a slim chance.

This will be two blocks of three days, from Sunday to Tuesday, classes every evening. As a result, the treated fabric remains in good condition during the workshop. Golden Calf winner Karim Traidia works towards beautiful, cinematic scenes in these 2 blocks. During the lessons, scenes are recorded with a camera. Together with you, Karim will search for the purpose of your character and the truth of a scene. You explore the development and transformation of your character through the word, gesture, emotion and silence. Key concepts in the lessons of this acclaimed director are listening and focusing. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate as proof of participation. Lecturer Karim Traïdia is a Dutch-Algerian director who has lived and worked in the Netherlands since 1980. With a lot of experience in my pocket, I offer my services as an animator/motion graphic designer.
