Teatro Punto
workshop 'Acting for the big screen' Danyael Sugawara
From March 12 to 14, there is a workshop 'Acting for the Big Screen,' by Danyael Sugawara.
Danyael is the director of the feature film ALLES STROOMT, starring Anneke Blok, based on a screenplay by Marieke van der Pol. In October 2009, he won a Golden Calf (the audience award) with this film at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht.
How can you focus as an actor on a film set and get into the 'moment' to deliver your best performance?
How do you avoid playing in a result-oriented way?
How do you get the most out of your director, even if he gives the most simplistic directing instructions?
How do you prepare yourself?
In short, in a three-day workshop, Sugawara works on techniques inspired by the methodology of Judith Western, enabling you to get the most out of not only yourself, but also the director and your co-actor(s), with the aim of delivering a performance that is authentic and vibrant.
