Inspiring workplace Amsterdam and/or Huizen

Immediately: workspace available! Because I have moved to Huizen, my workspace in Amsterdam is available for a creative freelancer (flash designer, AV specialist, multimedia master, graphic designer, illustrator, copywriter, web developer, etc.) to share the space, costs, but above all, inspiration and knowledge. Joining forces, having a sounding board, and of course, having people around you are certainly important for staying sharp. The studio in Amsterdam-Noord has 6 workspaces. A meeting table, kitchen, toilet, and roof terrace are available. It is a two-minute bike ride from the ferry to Central Station. It is a three-minute drive to the A10 ring road. Parking is free on the complex's private grounds. I miss that sharpness, collaboration, etc. from Amsterdam so much that I deliberately rented an oversized workspace in Huizen. So, if the above appeals to you, but you find Amsterdam too far out of the way? The studio in Huizen has 4 workstations and a private meeting room. The studio is located in Huizen (with a view of the Gooimeer), centrally situated between the A27 and A1. There is ample (free) parking available. The rent is 300 euros per month/per workstation (both locations). This includes a desk, ADSL, and service charges, excluding VAT. FAMU workshop, Ohrid, Macedonia

For the young film makers In first week of June 2008, in cooperation with FAMU, Prague and KAVAL production, with the support of Macedonian FILM FOND, and still to announce partners we will take part in CINEMADANCE FAMU workshop in OHRID. NewGround Productions (Eastern Nieghbours Film Festival) will be present as special guest with 5 Dutch students from the film academy, taking part in most renowned European film institute. The specific workshop of CinemaDance was developed at FAMU by three professors who wished to train students to collaborate on projects, to introduce students to specialties beyond their normal training, and wanted to foster better understanding between local Czech and visiting international students in Prague. Prof. Tomas Petran and Pavel Jech from FAMU, and Professor Brendan Ward from Columbia University in New York designed and conducted the first CinemaDance in 2003 - but the pedagogical roots of this project begin much earlier, as already in the early 1960s, FAMU was holding impromptu short-term workshop sessions at its rural recreation center in Southern Bohemia. Since 2003, FAMU has conducted 15 official CinemaDance in 3 different countries, including hundreds of students from countries throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia and the Pacific.
