On Monday, September 1st, Zuco 103, in collaboration with MySpace, launched a worldwide video contest for the new single Longing (Saudade)! This single, from the album 'After the Carnaval', is an English version of the song Beija a Mim (translated: Kiss me). Together with Steye, Zuco 103 forms the creative brain behind this contest. Earlier this year, the Stefans produced Steye's debut album: 'I'm Just Here To Make You Feel Warm'. Steye is a musician, theater and filmmaker, and has been known for years as one of the members of Pips:lab, a collective of young multimedia hooligans. Under the direction of Steye, the band members were filmed in front of a green screen, so that the participants who will edit the footage can give it a completely personal vibe. This footage can be downloaded via the band's MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/zuco103 Starting October 20, Zuco 103 will announce a selection of five music videos from which the public will choose the final new music video for Longing (Saudade) via a voting system! The runner-up will receive an Ableton merchandise package delivered to their home. If the winner is from the Netherlands, he/she will be invited to a concert abroad. The jury of the VanAnaarBeter Prize visited the first entrant of 2008. Arjon van Dietzer is 38 years old and CEO/Partner of Autosmaller.nl. Unfortunately, Arjon was unable to compete earlier because his idea had not yet been implemented. In September, he decided to quit his job and focus entirely on his idea. His company, Autosmaller, does exactly what the name suggests: he makes cars narrower to solve the traffic jam problem.
