Hart Voor Nieuws (for news websites & broadcasters)

Are you tearing your hair out? Naturally, you want the footage of that important press conference, that exclusive quote, or the major news event for your media as soon as possible. But are you not subscribed to a major news agency, nor do you have the means to hire a crew? Then I offer the perfect solution! I have worked as a video journalist for major media outlets such as Sky News (BSkyB), Reuters, and Associated Press. Footage of my work has appeared on CNN and the BBC. I produce, interview, film, and edit. The rates for exclusive, professional standard news packages (with natural sound) for websites are €110 (± 1.5 minutes), €150 (± 2.5 minutes), and €190 (± 3.5 minutes). A shot list is, of course, included. Footage is delivered as MPEG4 or MPEG2 (for on-location breaking news), or as an AVI file. The above amounts include camera and editing equipment, but exclude transmission costs and other expenses. News packages for television broadcasts are also available. If you have multiple assignments, I offer discounts. Thanks to my journalistic experience both domestically and internationally, I possess a broad and reliable network. Additionally, I hold a widely accepted international press card. Should it be necessary, I can also arrange accreditation. So, do you need someone for the current credit crisis, the upcoming US elections, or any other BREAKING NEWS event? I can be your man 'on the scene'. Should you require an interview or a feature with an additional reporter for your media outlet, you can of course always request a free, no-obligation quote from me. My daily rate for news and current affairs (also for concerts & performances) is €300 including camera equipment or €225 excluding camera equipment. I offer more favorable rates for items abroad. You can find more information about my work on the website www.newswire8.nl.

Camera training advanced

For camera operators who want to start an AV production company. If you already have experience with camerawork, or have already taken the ENG Camera Course, you can expand your knowledge with this course. You will learn how to create audiovisual productions from A to Z and how to start your own AV company. (We focus particularly on starters of a sole proprietorship.) You will receive instruction in Editing, Production, and Operations. We therefore assume that you already have camera work experience. If you would also like to learn camera work, we recommend taking the Camera course, which is the complete package. During this course, we work with proven teaching methods and equipment. For instance, you will learn to work with the editing program Avid Media Composer, which is currently the standard in the television industry. You will also learn how segments or programs are made, what makes a production good or less good, and how rates and rights work. But you don't just start a business: a lot goes into it. You will learn that as well during this course, so that you can start a professional business in a sound and responsible manner. This course turns you from a cameraman to an AV producer! Admission requirements: experience with camera work, an ENG camera course, or similar training. Additionally: a minimum of VMBO (or a comparable foreign diploma).
