Bekendmaking nominaties Tuschinski Award en Talent&Pro Award In de eerste dagkrant van het 28e Nederlands Film Festival zijn de nominaties voor de Tuschinski Award en de Talent&Pro Award bekendgemaakt. De winnaar wordt gekozen door de leden van de Kring van Nederlandse Filmjournalisten. De Talent&Pro Award bestaat uit een bedrag van 2.500 euro, aangeboden door sponsor Talent&Pro. De juryleden zijn: Jef Nassenstein, Piet-Harm Sterk en Maarten Timmerman (algemeen directeur Talent&Pro). De Talent&Pro Award wordt voor de zesde keer uitgereikt om beginnend talent te stimuleren in hun verdere loopbaan in de filmindustrie. Detacheringbedrijf Talent&Pro doet dit voor talenten in het bank- en verzekeringswezen en de facilitaire dienstverlening.

Dear MeccaPANZA / NISI MASA people! NISI MASA is co-organiser of an important project: “Script & Pitch Workshops”, which consists in a European script development course for feature films. We are now preparing the 4th edition by launching the call for participants! Script & Pitch is 100% a NISI MASA project. Some NISI MASA members have already benefited from it. This long-term training course is really really great, there are many very talented professionals involved from whom you can benefit a lot, and the results from the third first editions are promising! Many participants are currently producing their films, but it’s also that you learn very much from this kind of experience. Therefore, if you have a feature script project in your drawer or that you\'re actually working on one, \'Script&Pitch\' is for you. You can also participate if you would like to become “Script Editor” so in a way spending your life working on other projects, and finding super solution to their stories. Thus do apply! The deadline for application is the 15th of December 2008, and it mostly consists in a treatment of 20 pages maximum. In other words the one side of talent, and the other side of business. The woman who directed the film spent 7 years filming the progression of two bands from the West coast in America. The one band, THE DANDY WARHOLS are an OK band who are able to compromise and sell themselves and who therefore are able to achieve success. The other band THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE are headed by a man who everybody considers a genius but who is unable to deal with the real world. In a sense they sabotage their own success through drugs, alcohol and general insanity. And despite their brilliance no record company will touch them and they remain virtually unknown. While tens of thousands of fans in Germany and the UK sing along to every word at sold-out festivals headlined by the Dandies, Newscombe leads his band (BJM) in a nine-hour set in a dingy club for an audience of ten. Throughout the film there are controlled substances imbibed, clothing shed, sitars broken, punches thrown, arrests made. So even if you are not a fan of either of the bands it doesn\'t matter....this is actually a one-of-a-kind documentary about the modern world and how it works. Na drie jaar door de wereld te hebben rond gereisd voor veel heel veel buitenlandse shows. Ben ik weer terug in Nederland en op zoek naar een nieuwe Nederlandse productie om weer lekker aan de slag te kunnen als producer of productieleider.
